ASCP Planning Overview

Oracle ASCP can generate planned orders for an entire supply chain within a single multi-organization supply chain plan.

A single plan of the entire supply chain:

Demand quantity = (Forecast + Actual sales orders)
for each of the time buckets in the planning horizon.
The plan output contains planned order quantities, start dates, and completion dates for all of its components and subcomponents.

Forecast :

    Forecast represents the forecast Demand

Sales Order
Sales Order Represent the sales Order Demand

Forecast Consumption:

Forecast consumption is a process that replaces Forecast Demand with the salesOrder.

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning considers three streams of independent demand:

à Safety stock planned demand

à Forecasts Demand Comes from Oracle Demantra

à Sales order demand

Oracle ASCP outputs a time-phased supply plan (planned orders) that can then be released directly to the appropriate execution systems: Oracle Purchasing, Oracle and Process Manufacturing.

Process of MPS and MRP:

à Forecast is Published by Demantra
à Standard collections are Run
à MPS plan is Launched to See the Forecast, Planned Order, Planned Order Demand,
On Hand and Sales Order of the Make Item  (Finished Goods)
à MRP is Launched to get see the Planned Order, Planned Order Demand,
On Hand, Purchase Order of the Buy Item ( Ingredients)

à  MRP create planned orders for the safety stock if it is defined in the Item Attributes

Planned Order Calculation Will also Depend upon the Item Attributes defined

à Order Modifiers

à Safety Stock

Order Modifiers :
Order sizing is a set of item attributes that allow you to control the recommended order quantities for planned orders. The planning process creates planned orders using basic lot-for-lot sizing logic.

àFixed or Variable àFixed Order Quantity à Fixed Lot Multiple à Minimum and Maximum Order Quantity à Fixed Days Supply à Rounding Order Quantities

Safety Stock:
Safety stock is normally required by companies to ensure that they have sufficient quantities of material in stock. The safety stock is there to provide coverage for unexpected customer demand, damage in the warehouse or required due to quality issues found in production.

Planning Detail Report:
The Report Contains all the Details like
  Action Messages Report
  MRP Bucketed Material Report
  MRP Material Activity Report
  MPS Material Activity Report
  MPS Bucketed Material Report
  Reorder Point Report

This report presents a view (within individual time increments that you define) of
the effects of pending inventory transactions on stock quantities; in this manner the
report is similar to the MPS version of the Bucketed Material Report. The MRP
version of the report also shows the effects on inventory quantities of the suggested
actions generated during the most recent MRP run.
You can restrict this report to bucketed material activity for items in one or more
planning classes, or to activity in which one or more planner is concerned.
